Historical Dutch apology

Meanwhile, Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte has historically apologized to the Jewish community and Holocaust survivors yesterday for the conduct of the Dutch government during World War II. "I apologize on behalf of the Dutch government for conducting the government at that time. I apologize now, with the last survivors still living among us. The government has failed in its role as the justice and security guard in the war," said Rotte, who noted that "too many officials did what they were asked to do without thinking."
