Vendors and crowds were rushing. Many mainlanders were suspected of being "private" after arguing with protesters. Police said that at 9 o'clock that night, one of the 53-year-old Mainlander was injured by 20 people in black wearing masks and injured his head, ears and neck with hard objects.
Two hours later, when the police intercepted an 18-year-old boy suspected of being involved in the case, the other party did not cooperate and attacked two police officers. He was eventually subdued, suspected of "illegal assembly", "assaulting the police" and "injury". The arrest is being detained for investigation and will be followed up by the anti-triad unit of the West Kowloon Region.
In addition to the men attacked above, there were also two men and one woman (aged 24 to 37) from the Mainland who were suspected of arguing with the demonstrators due to shooting problems. The three men reported injuries including headache, back pain and neck pain. A photo of a Chinese identity card was circulated online afterwards. It was owned by one of the 37-year-old men who reportedly came from Guangzhou, but the address on the document was Wuhan, raising concerns about health risks.
