Lebanese Prime Minister Hassan Diab considered that the approval of the parliament by the general budget gives a positive signal to both inside and outside and proves the government's keenness to facilitate the approval of this budget.
Diab said during the fourth meeting of the ministerial committee in charge of drafting the ministerial statement that "the approval of the budget is a station that allows the government to focus its work on the completion of the ministerial statement, which must be completed as soon as possible, in preparation for the government's appearance before the parliament to request confidence."
He pointed out that the Ministerial Statement Drafting Committee will receive the remaining work programs of all ministries within the next two days.
Last Tuesday, Lebanese President General Michel Aoun issued a decree to form a new government headed by Diab, which includes 20 ministers, including 6 women, at a time when Lebanon is still witnessing sit-ins and demonstrations since October 17 last year to demand an improvement in the living situation and hold corrupt people accountable.
