Benjamin Netanyahu brought Israel to a position of power with the Palestinians. Imagine that a triple meeting, and a triple announcement, by President Trump, Prime Minister Netanyahu and Benny Gantz would actually come about. What a power multiplier this was for future political measures.
Instead, the Knesset will betray today the prime minister who broke ground for policy options that were until now only programs that were already forgotten from Yigal Alon's midrash.

Without knowing all the details, the plan presented today largely overlaps with Yitzhak Rabin's vision in his last political speech in the Knesset about a month before he was assassinated: the Jordan Valley, Ma'ale Adumim, Unified Jerusalem, Gush Etzion and the bloc of the communities. But the illegal heirs of Alon and Rabin are preparing an ambush for the prime minister today, rather than giving him full backing and blessing.

On the one hand, the prime minister is leveraging a groundbreaking national agenda; On the other hand, the pettiness of blue-white heads and Gantz's heads, which deal with the sabotage of the political move. How pitiful was Amir Peretz's outcry to President Trump for not presenting the plan because it was an election intervention.

Should it be mentioned that Ehud Barak, a prime minister who has already resigned, with a government that relies on a minority of Knesset members, was involved in the sale of the entire Zionist vault in the Taba talks in January 2001, just before the election? This was the largest concession competition aimed at extracting a dangerous peace agreement, which also included the introduction of modular quantities of refugees into the State of Israel. It was intended to introduce an agreement on Election Day and allow President Clinton to retire with a political legacy of peace.

Apart from the fact that this is a far more far-reaching precedent compared to presenting a political plan, as it is today, there is also a very clear baseline here. From the political divide of Oslo, Camp David, Taba, as well as Annapolis talks and the negotiations of Olmert and Livni, Netanyahu seeks an irreversible opportunity to erase the 1967 lines as the 1947 lines were erased after the War of Independence.
All the negotiations that started from Oslo onwards were made from a staggering position of leaders who did not believe in the strength of Israel. These were negotiations made out of a breathtaking, crazy race to produce another of the memorable lawn performances of the 90's. Needless to say, the green of the lawn turned red.

Netanyahu is presently presenting something foreign to the perception of the security men who have become statesmen; Call it strategic patience. She is the one to bring him into a coordinated position today with the US president, and probably also with the Russian president, when Arab states are silent and Abu Mazen curses and blames Trump for his best-known repertoire. A share of what the PLO fanatics intended for themselves at the outset.

When the agenda is such, the Israeli public should know who is really capable of leading it. However, there are major doubts about the importance of the political issue to the electorate in general.

Some of the right-wing political surgeons are certain that the Likud's right thing is to pass a government decision that applies sovereignty to every possible package at the moment: Baka plus localities in Judea and Samaria.

Yesterday, Gen. (res.) MK Yair Golan said Gantz was from Fayinick. Not the unity of work. Some would say his party is actually a lecturer with Field Marshal in her head. It is moderate. He is not the leader of a bold initiative. But the moderates are the most dangerous: they are unable to implement any plan except one plan: to eliminate the leader, and they know how to properly arm the state.
