Syria participates in the International Asian Dental Implant Conference

The Asian Conference of the World Dental Implant Council held last weekend in the Sri Lankan capital of Colombo with Syrian participation presented the basic concepts of digital dental implants and the pros and cons of adopting digital technology in the clinical practice of dentistry.

The conference included about 15 lectures over a period of three days focused on the developments of knowledge and surgical and prosthetic experiences in the field of dental implants and digital technology in planning dental implants and surgery directed with the participation of about 400 doctors from different countries of the world.

The captain of the dentists of Damascus and the ambassador of the International Council for Dental Implants in Syria, Dr. Rashad Murad Bain, told SANA that Syria’s participation in these conferences reflects its scientific development in the field of dental implantation and the keenness of its practitioners to follow the latest developments in the world in terms of specialization that is witnessing an accelerating scientific and technical development For implantation, compensation, immediate loading and bone enlargement methods.

Murad pointed out that the Syrian doctors and researchers are keen to keep the name of their country present in international scientific events despite the unjust and coercive economic measures imposed on Syria and the conditions of war.

Murad explained that he participated in the evaluation of research and publications submitted to the conference, which focused on topics including dental implants, compensation, the types of modern materials used and the alternative offered, the use of computer technologies in dental implants, vaccination and oral rehabilitation.

Murad stressed the union’s keenness to develop the skills of new graduates and practitioners by organizing international conferences in Syria and supporting scientific research, noting the possibility of holding an international dental implant conference in Damascus in May.

The World Dental Implant Council was established in 1972 as a professional, non-profit organization with about 20 thousand members from 72 countries in addition to about 60 professional and international bodies and is the largest professional gathering in the field of dentistry includes various activities related to dental implants and its activity includes providing services to its members according to the latest technology And curricula.
