The competent authorities in Palmyra seized a large amount of narcotic pills placed tightly within secret hideouts inside a truck that was intended to transport foodstuffs in Khirbet Al-Batmiyat area in the depth of Palmyra badia.
A source in the competent authorities told a SANA Palmyra reporter that “the Hyundai car was heading from Shamsin area in Homs countryside towards the Zarqa region passing through the 55 km area in the depth of the Badia where it was suspected through its spare tire completely different from the basic car tires and after inspection was done Inside the frame, a quantity of narcotic pills was found wrapped in nylon bags. Other quantities of narcotic pills were found in secret hideouts in the fuel tank and the water tank. ”
The source pointed out that "the amount of seized pills, which were confiscated, amounted to 115 million, of various kinds and colors, in addition to confiscating two narcotic cannabis weighing two hundred grams each."
