Century Plan is an Irrevocable Opportunity • In a month the right may lose elections, in less than a year Trump may lose as well • Conclusion: annex - and now • opinion

Netanyahu's entry into the White House was no different from his dozens of previous meetings with US presidents during his 14 years as prime minister. He was welcomed and honored by Trump, as was previously accepted by Obama and Clinton, though they held a different worldview.

Still, it is not a visit as much as the visits and a meeting as much as the sessions. After a few weeks of frost in Washington, the sun shone and the sky darkened, signifying perhaps the days to come. Tonight at seven (Israeli time), the Trump administration will present the peace plan. The Palestinians will react negatively to it but afterwards, as the president said twice last night, "Everything is fine, life goes on." That is, the ball moves to Israel's lot and its own. In this situation, as Ben-Gurion said, the question is not what the Gentiles will say - which Trump, incidentally, agrees to his plan - but what the Jews will do. The answer is that a Ben-Gurion decision is required, to declare the Jordan Valley and settlement in Judea and Samaria, as Israelis. This is an opportunity, and it will not return.

The administration gives Israel an open check to do almost unlimited shopping. The Israeli public supports a vast majority of sovereignty moves. The Arab world does not really oppose the application of sovereignty. The EU is weak, and in any case, Netanyahu has fostered support centers to avoid European sanctions. The PLO is on the boards, as it was not even before Oslo. It is the law of Hamas that is alarmed and the metastasis of Iran, which licks the Sulimani liquidation wounds. If we don't get through it now, it may not open again for at least decades to come.

In a month and a week, the right may lose the election. In less than a year, Trump, a brave and unique president, may miss a second term in the White House. Incidentally, even if he wins, he will no longer need the evangelical voices, as the United States does not serve more than two terms, so there is no telling whether the free hand to Israel will continue.

Of course, the Palestinian national movement may be strengthened, especially if it is taken over by a strong young leader after Abu Mazen's death. Iran has not said the last word yet, and who knows what will happen to it in a year. It is the law of the European Union, which may again turn Israel into a punching bag, as it did not many years ago. Therefore, Netanyahu must now exhaust the move and apply sovereignty to all 30 percent. There is no point in settling for intermediate steps, which will make us pay the price and will not yield the maximum value. You have to go all the way. The plan does not fulfill Israel's full aspirations, as it includes a weak agreement with the Palestinian state as well as Palestinian beer in Jerusalem. However, nothing will come of these commitments, as the Palestinians refuse to cooperate. Therefore, the resistance to the right of the program is fundamentally wrong.

And a final word for all those who claim Netanyahu's lack of legitimacy to make the decision. Well, as far as I remember, the camp that now cares for a Democratic majority has not been bothered when Sharon Peter sings and runs democracy on the road to disengagement. The same camp was also not bothered when Rabin recruited a majority for the Oslo agreement in a disgraceful deal on the front of two Mitsubishi. While these two have made difficult and controversial moves, annexation is in consensus. After all, Gantz was the one who called a week ago to apply sovereignty in the valley and do so quickly. Well, Gantz is right and if not right now, I dread.
