In response to the new coronavirus epidemic, the government announced today (28th) that all flights of the Hong Kong section of the West Kowloon Station high-speed rail and the Hung Hom Intercity Express will be suspended from Thursday (30th).

MTR pointed out that after communicating with the mainland railway units, it decided to suspend the high-speed rail Hong Kong section and intercity direct train services on Thursday. At the same time, West Kowloon Station will be temporarily closed for thorough cleaning.

Full refund after West Kowloon Station opens

According to MTR, those who have already purchased tickets can retain their tickets and receipts. When West Kowloon Station reopens, they can go to the station for a full refund. Passengers who purchase tickets through the 12306 website can directly refund their tickets on the website.

As for the intercity train, passengers who have purchased tickets to and from Hung Hom Station and the Mainland station can go through the refund procedure at the original ticketing point within 30 days after the departure date of the purchased flight (including the Hung Hom Station Intercity Express Customer Service Center and Ticket Agent Sales Point), passengers can get a full refund.
