Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas affirmed the Palestinians' rejection of the "deal of the century", whose terms US President Donald Trump announced this evening, stressing that it is a conspiracy that will not pass.
Abbas said in a speech to him in the city of Ramallah: Jerusalem is not for sale and all our rights are not for sale or bargaining and the plot of the century will not pass and will be doomed to failure and disappearance as all plans for liquidation and conspiracy on the Palestinian issue.
Abbas pointed out that the "Deal of the Century" is based on the sinister "Balfour Declaration" formulated by Britain and the United States, but the Palestinians will return this slap in the future and will continue the struggle to end the Israeli occupation and work to establish their independent state with Jerusalem as its capital and will not give up their constants.
Abbas indicated that the Palestinians would file a complaint with the International Court of Justice with regard to the "deal of the century" and said: We heard promising responses against what Trump announced and we will build on.
Abbas reiterated the Palestinians' refusal that the United States be the sole mediator in any settlement process, calling for the reactivation of the role of the international quartet committee "Russia, the United States, the United Nations and the European Union" in this regard.
