Damascus-Sana countryside
The rehabilitation and construction work of schools in the Damascus countryside governorate continues with the aim of accommodating all students and relieving pressure on other schools, in addition to following up the implementation of paving and asphalting streets according to priority.
The director of technical services in the governorate, Ghassan Al-Jassem, confirmed to the delegate of Sana that work is underway to build three schools in Hafir Al-Fawqa, Jadidat Artouz and Khirbet Al-Ward, the completion rate respectively (70, 83 and 72), at a value of 700 million pounds, and each of them includes three floors and will be built on an area of 1500 meters A box with utilities will be handed over to the Ministry of Education this year.
Al-Jasim pointed out that a secondary school has been implemented in Al-Hijana, which includes two floors, with a completion rate of 56%.
The Directorate continues to rehabilitate the damaged schools and is currently working, according to Al Jasim, to rehabilitate 8 schools distributed in Sahnaya, Al-Kiswah, Al-Zurayqiya, Al-Basel Village, Khirbet Al-Shayyab, Qurtha, Ain Al-Tina, and Deir Atiya, with a value of 620 million pounds and a completion rate of more than 60%.
It is worth noting that last year, the Damascus countryside province completed 22 schools, including 5 full accreditation schools and 17 rehabilitation schools, at a cost of 1.9 billion pounds.
In another context, Al-Jasim revealed the completion of paving a road to reach the fields of the Rose in the Levant in the village of Al-Marah, with a total value of 112 million liras, 5 km long, to start asphalting next April.
Al-Jassem pointed out that work is also underway to maintain and expand the road linking to Nabi Habel in the Zabadani area, as it is an important religious religious site, indicating that projects for paving and asphalting other roads distributed in Arna, Darbel, Hafir and the entrances of Al-Sabina, Bawaida, Rakhleh, Saydnaya and the entrance of Sayyida Zainab towards the Rawda Hotel and Lake Zerzar towards Al-Rawda and Al Danoun option to serve the labs area, and perfume in Al-Qalamoun and Ras Al-Maarah.
