Divers poured cargoes: Who is attacking Syria's oil pipelines?
Edit: Joy FellowUnderwater oil pipelines have been attacked off the coast of Syria - the country's oil minister said. He said divers were loading cargo in a facility in the city of Banias in the west of the state. The extent of the damage is unknown, but the state news agency reported that technical teams are assessing the damage done and repairing the pipes.
Oil Minister Ali Ranam told official television yesterday that there were no disruptions at the city's oil distillery, which could produce more than 130,000 barrels a day.
No organization took responsibility for the offensive, the third in less than a year against the country's oil and gas industry. At the SNA, those responsible will be described as "terrorists," a term that describes all rebel organizations.
