Col. (res.) Shimon (Kacza) Kahner, the mythical warrior from Unit 101, passed away tonight (second) at the age of 85. Long years after being drafted into the Special Unit by Meir Har Zion, and was severely wounded in action in the Nitzana area as commander A reserve squad, he passed away.
The IDF Archive in the Ministry of Defense and his family have published pictures of his execution in memory of Kacza, among other things as an officer in the Yom Kippur War. The pictures show the veteran fighter during the evacuation of the West Bank of the Suez Canal and previous activities for the separation of forces with Egypt after the war.
