A judge issued a 15-month preventive detention against Keiko Fujimori in response to a new request from the Prosecutor's Office requesting that the Popular Force leader remain incarcerated while a tax investigation is carried out for allegedly receiving money from the Odebrecht company in laundering schemes of money. In November, Fujimori had been released from pretrial detention when the Constitutional Court found a remedy founded by his family to recover his freedom.
