Technical personnel at the Ministry of Oil began repairing the damage to the marine oil terminals in Baniyas due to yesterday's terrorist targeting with improvised explosive devices.

Engineer Ali Ghanem, Minister of Oil and Mineral Resources, during his tour of the headquarters of the Syrian Oil Transportation Company and the Baniyas estuary assured in a statement to reporters that the estuary did not go out of service and continues to receive oil supplies as there is an alternative plan that guarantees the continuation of work in such emergency cases.

Engineer Talaat Nayouf, head of the downstream department of the Syrian Oil Transportation Company, said that yesterday evening a problem was detected on the oil ties in the Baniyas estuary and immediately an underwater inspection was carried out by the divers' workshops and it was found that three bolts on six lines were damaged.

Technical workshops and divers teams began repair operations immediately after revealing the damage, according to Eng. Iyad Muhammad, head of the Marine Division in the estuary, who confirmed the readiness of the technical teams and divers to make the necessary repairs as quickly as possible in all weather conditions and marine conditions.
