More than 1,400 people, including a hundred children, were evacuated this Tuesday morning from a large encampment located northeast of the capital

This vast operation started around 6 a.m. on Tuesday, and ended in the middle of the morning: 1,436 people, occupying insanitary camps installed at Porte d'Aubervilliers in Paris (19th century) were evacuated and sheltered.

Some 249 migrants (including 93 children) living with their families, as well as 1187 single men were taken care of to be transported to gymnasiums and reception centers in Ile-de-France.

In these camps also lived a certain number of people addicted to crack: 34 of them (25 men and nine women) were referred to dedicated structures, where they will be accompanied by associations. All evacuees will benefit from a social, health and administrative diagnosis.
