(CNN Spanish) - A fire unleashed on Tuesday in a Chinese supermarket in the Palermo neighborhood of Buenos Aires left a deceased woman as reported by the Buenos Aires police.

While firefighters tried to put out the fire, a special rescue group ordered the evacuation of the neighboring building to avoid a major tragedy.

The police report adds that three police officers and one civilian were treated for smoke inhalation at a local hospital.

Police said the flames affected much of the structure.
