The United Nations confirmed its adherence to international legitimacy resolutions in response to US President Donald Trump's announcement yesterday of the so-called "Deal of the Century".
Reuters quoted UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres as saying in a statement that the United Nations remains committed to helping solve the Middle East conflict on the basis of United Nations resolutions, international law and bilateral agreements.
For its part, France affirmed today its adherence to observing international law in the framework of settling the conflict between the Israelis and Palestinians, in response to the announcement after the American president announced the so-called "deal of the century".
"France affirms its conviction that a two-state solution in accordance with international law and recognized international standards is necessary for a just and lasting peace in the Middle East," Agence France-Presse said.
Trump, in a flagrant violation of international resolutions, announced yesterday the sinister terms of the so-called "deal of the century" aimed at liquidating the Palestinian issue at the expense of the rights of the Palestinian people.
The Palestinian national forces called for the day of the wrath of the day and Friday, and the organization of marches and protest stops in the cities of the West Bank and the besieged Gaza Strip, in rejection of the "deal of the century" and a victory for the occupied city of Jerusalem in the face of the plans of the Israeli occupation to Judaize it.
