The Venezuelan Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed that the so-called "deal of the century" is an arbitrary and expansionist plan that represents an attack on the Palestinian people and their rights, pointing to its standing and solidarity with the Palestinian people's right to self-determination and the establishment of its independent state with Jerusalem as its capital.
"This decision is unacceptable and its content contradicts the rules of international law," the ministry said in a statement, stressing the right of the Palestinian people to determine their own destiny and establish their independent state in accordance with the UN Security Council resolutions.
The State Department warned that the project presented by the administration of US President Donald Trump aims to grant unilateral recognition to the settlements that the occupation entity illegally established, calling on the international community to activate the necessary mechanisms to avoid the consequences that may result from imposing this illegal scheme, which is described by international public opinion. As "fraud or theft of the century."
