India and the Philippines today announced the detection of the first case of the new Coronavirus on their territories.
Reuters quoted the Indian government as saying in a statement that the first case of infection appeared in the Kerala region in the south of the country and that tests showed the patient was infected with the virus and that his condition was stable and he was isolated in a hospital.
In the Philippines, Minister of Health Francisco Duque announced in a press conference the first case of HIV infection, and said that the tests confirmed the infection of a 38-year-old Chinese who came from Wuhan, China on the 21st of this month.
The Chinese authorities announced earlier today that the death toll from the Corona virus has risen to 170 after the death of 37 other people affected by the HIV virus in Hubei Province, China.
