The White House announced that it will not allow former US National Security Adviser John Bolton to publish his new book because it contains classified information in a letter sent to Bolton's attorney.
The AP quoted the US National Security Council as saying, after reviewing the draft book, that the draft contains classified information, some of which are classified as highly classified and can cause exceptional harm to national security and cannot be published without deleting this secret information.
Bolton attorney Chuck Cooper, in turn, refuted the White House allegations and said, "We do not believe that any of this information could reasonably be considered confidential."
Bolton in his book especially reveals a conversation that could harm Trump, who is currently facing a trial for his removal in the Senate on charges of abuse of power and obstruction of Congress.
Bolton confirmed the blackmail practices of US President Donald Trump by revealing the latter's bargaining with Ukraine in influencing his potential rival in the upcoming Democratic presidential election, Joe Biden, in exchange for providing security assistance to Kiev, which is the scandal under which Trump is being held accountable at the moment.
