(CNN) - At least five Katyusha rockets fell on Tuesday near the Iraqi air base of Qayyarah, which hosts US troops, an Iraqi security official told CNN.
The Iraqi army issued a statement saying that "five projectiles fell near the Qayyarah Air Force base in Nineveh, with no human or material losses."
A coalition official said the rockets fell more than a kilometer from the base.
This is not the first time that Iraqi bases that house US troops have been rocket targets.
The Qayyarah air base is located south of the city of Mosul.
