Volcano turns a victim's brain into glass 0:48
(CNN Spanish) - The Chillán volcano in Chile recorded an eruption with a giant ash column that reached 3,500 meters high, which is why the National Emergency Office of the Ministry of Interior (ONEMI), issued an orange alert on Thursday.
The authorities indicated that the explosion did not produce shock waves, was not audible by the population, only had a visual effect.
ONEMI continues to monitor the volcano for possible eruption development over a period of days or weeks.
