Interior Minister Christophe Castaner said Tuesday afternoon that adolescent Mila and her family were "protected by the police," the girl was the subject of death threats for criticizing Islam.
"Mila and her family are the subject of special vigilance, to protect them, from the national police , " said the minister, who was questioned in the National Assembly during topical questions in government.

The 16-year-old teenager, who was also the guest of Yann Barthès in his Daily show on TMC Monday evening, maintained his remarks, invoking the right to blasphemy. However, she insisted on apologizing to "people who practice their religion in peace", recalling once again that her words were "not aimed at human beings" but simply a religion.
