Iran fails to fill the void left by Kassem Suleimani's assassination, a senior Western intelligence official says a month after the United States killed the Quds Force commander in the Revolutionary Guards.
Speaking to "Israel Today," the senior intelligence official said that Suleimani acted freely in the Middle East "as if he were the porch in his home."

"He has done in Iraq and Syria as his own, with great intensity and sophistication, in direct contact with Iran's supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei."
The killing of Suleimanai, the intelligence official added, landed a heavy blow on these Iranian expansion efforts.
He explained that Ismail Kaani, who was Suleimani's deputy and was in charge of Quds Force in his place, "is not really the commander of the force and lacks the unique capabilities that Suleimani has so he does not fit into his shoes."
