Syrian Arab Army units entered the strategic city of Saraqib in the eastern Idlib countryside from several axes and began a sweeping sweep of neighborhoods and streets of mines and booby traps planted by terrorists in the town, hours after the liberation of the town of Avis north of the city and several villages in the eastern countryside of the governorate.

A Sana correspondent stated that the military units entered the city this afternoon from the northern, eastern, western and southern axes after cordoning off the city from all sides and began combing neighborhoods and removing booby traps and mines laid by the terrorists before they fled the city.

On the other hand, the reporter pointed out that the army units responded to a violent attack by terrorist organizations on the Neirab axis northwest of Saraqib and the Dadekh axis southwest of the town to cause a breach in the cordon imposed by the forces on the town of Saraqib, but the army units thwarted the attack and the terrorists suffered losses of personnel and equipment.

The army units liberated the town of Aafs to the north of Saraqib and the villages of al-Thahabiyyah, Jadida Tafleh and Talef Glass, on the western Abu al-Dahour axis, and tightened their cordon over the strategic town.

The correspondent from the area of ​​operations pointed out that the restoration of these towns and villages resulted in the death and injury of a number of terrorists and the flight of other numbers in front of the advance of the army units amid a state of confusion and collapses among the terrorists.

Yesterday, the army units operating in Idlib countryside liberated during their progress towards the city of Saraqib in the eastern countryside countryside, the strategic town of Tal Touqan and the two villages of Islamin and Rayyan, after defeating the terrorist groupings there.
