(CNN Spanish) - The legendary actor Kirk Douglas died at 103.

Douglas, father of also actor Michael Douglas, was nominated for three Primetime Emmy awards and three Oscar awards. He received an honorary Academy Award.

He was born in New York in 1916.

He is remembered for films such as Spatracus, Gunfight at the OK Corral , Lust for Life and 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea .
