The soldiers, who enlisted in the brigade ranks last November, took part in the swearing-in ceremony at the Western Wall and were on their way to the station compound, at which time the attack occurred. It also emerged that the soldiers did not respond to gunfire during the incident. The commanders claimed that the soldiers, who had only recently enlisted, were not used to such scenarios within the territory of the State of Israel.
In the attack, one soldier was seriously injured and another 11 in light condition.
