Damascus-Sana
Speaker of the People's Assembly Hamouda Sabbagh affirmed that the Syrian-Iranian relations that started with the start of the Islamic revolution in Iran are today stronger, more solid and firm than ever, stressing the continuation of coordination between the two countries in the face of hegemonic forces, led by the United States.
Sabbagh clarified that the terrorist war on Syria seeks to undermine its sovereignty, unity, and independent decision, explaining that with every victory achieved by Syria and its allies and friends, sponsors of terrorism, especially the Zionist entity and the Turkish regime, are rushing to launch their attacks on Syrian lands in a desperate attempt to undermine the steadfastness of the Syrian people.
For his part, the head of the Iranian delegation stressed the importance of strengthening Iranian-Syrian cooperation and coordination and developing various aspects of relations, especially economic ones, in the interest of the two friendly countries.
Danae Farr pointed out that the enemies of Iran and Syria, despite their repeated attempts, failed to break the Iranian Islamic revolution, change Syrian positions, their dreams were dissipated, and the will of the Iranian and Syrian people was won.
The meeting was attended by a number of members of the People's Assembly and the ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Damascus, Javad Turk Abadi.
