Israeli air defense systems intercept Israeli missiles over Damascus, the city's media reported Thursday. The missiles reportedly left the Golan Heights and passed through Lebanon's airspace. State News Agency said most missiles were intercepted before reaching their targets. There were no reports of damage or casualties.

The Syrian human rights organization said several missiles were fired at government forces and Iranian militias in the area near the capital Damascus.
