UNESCO-RATP calls for a "black Monday" on February 17 in Ile-de-France transport

The pension reform project will be examined by the National Assembly from February 17. This date was chosen by Unsa-RATP, the first union within the management, to call "all metro and RER employees to mobilize very massively". Objective: a “black Monday in transport”.

"The Unsa-RATP traction center recalls its steadfast opposition to this pension reform project," wrote the union in a statement signed by its secretary general, Laurent Djebali.

He also condemns “the electoral remarks of Madame Pécresse which are only demagoguery” and urges her to “really deal with the problems of users in Île-de-France, which would change”, in reaction to a given interview to the Parisian by the president of the region. Valérie Pécresse affirmed in particular that she wished to "accelerate the competition of transport throughout the Ile-de-France".

"If such a strike happens again, we must have a plan B. The country cannot be paralyzed," she said.

In its press release, the union also explains "deploring the revenge spirit of the general management of the RATP vis-à-vis its employees", without further development. On January 18, after 45 days of mobilization against pension reform, the Unsa-RATP called on its troops to stop the movement.
