Citizens in many districts are dissatisfied with the government's refusal to completely close customs to prevent Wuhan pneumonia, and have recently expressed their dissatisfaction on the streets. Two off-duty police officers watched five masked men in black in Yau Ma Tei arson on Tuesday night, arresting a man suspected to be involved in the case before arresting 3 men and 1 woman in a nearby hotel. Five people were charged with arson and possession of offensive weapons. They were detained to Tuen Mun Magistracy today (7 days) without a reply. The case was postponed until April 2 at the Kowloon City Magistracy for the police to test petrol bombs and other chemicals. The defendants were refused bail and were kept in custody.

The five defendants were Chen Hongji (23, chef), Chen Guoqiang (26, unemployed) and Chen's girlfriend Lin Tianyong (19, waitress), two 16-year-old students named Liu and Mo. Lin and two 16-year-old defendants will review bail applications at Kowloon City Magistracy next Friday.

Hotel room has gasoline and corrosive fluid

The five were accused of burning the road at the junction of Nathan Road and Gansu Street in Yau Ma Tei on February 4 without reasonable excuse; and in the 1104 room of the Casa Deluxe Hotel in Yau Ma Tei on February 5 holding 10 bottles Flammable liquid glass bottles, 3 cans of liquefied petroleum gas, 2 hammers, 4 cans of spray oil, 2 cans of electric oil, 1 bottle of corrosive liquid, 1 spana and 1 cutter.

The defendants have been accused of entering and leaving the hotel

It is understood that the prosecution alleged that five masked persons fled after committing the crime. One of them was separated from the other four. The first defendant was subsequently arrested and provided hotel information. Police subsequently arrested the remaining 4 persons in the hotel room and found the items involved. The prosecution claimed that the room was rented by the defendant and that CCTV showed that everyone was in and out of the room. In addition, the first defendant was involved in a PolyU riot and the police station was released on bail. The defense questioned how the police identified the accused as the perpetrator, and alleged that the accused had been threatened by police and forced to confess.
