Businessman Mickey Ganor wants to appeal to the Supreme Court for a Central District Court decision, which ruled he could not leave the country at least until March 19. On Thursday, Ganor filed the application through his defense attorneys, Boaz Ben Tzur and Meir Arnfeld attorneys.
At the request of the Appellate Authority, Ganor, who is on suspicion of bribery in Case 3000, alleges that the absolute ban imposed on him from Israel discriminates against him, both against other suspects in the case and against suspects and defendants in other cases. According to him, the order leads to a disproportionate violation of his fundamental rights, in light of the fact that his business center is overseas. He said it was a serious injury to his need to continue to earn a living and freedom of occupation.

Parallel to the Supreme Court's appeal, Ganor's defense counsel appealed to the Justice Department's Freedom of Information Act, seeking information on other cases in which the State Attorney's Office sought to extend the restrictive conditions on suspects of similar offenses, one year after the original ban and no indictment was filed. On Sunday, the Central District Court ruled that Ganor would not be able to leave the country, reversing a previous decision by the Magistrate's Court, which allowed Ganor to go abroad in coordination with the police, accompanied by a $ 2 million bail deposit.
In December, the prosecutor's office announced that Genor would be prosecuted pending a hearing for bribery in the submarine case. Ganor was supposed to serve as a state witness in the case, but returned from the version he provided, which prompted the prosecutor to cancel the agreement signed with him. Justice Ido Druyan Gamaliel, who revoked the permit that Ganor could leave Israel, reasoned precisely because "his business center abroad", as well as holding a foreign passport. Regarding the difference between Ganor and other suspects, Judge Gamaliel noted that "each of the suspects was suspected in the case Only one, while the Respondent's hands are "dipped to the elbow and shoulder in all the discharge".
