After its victorious debut in the 2020 edition of Super Rugby, Jaguares will receive this Saturday at the José Amalfitani stadium at Hurricanes in New Zealand in a match corresponding to the second date of the main franchise contest in the southern hemisphere. The match will start at 20 and will be broadcast on ESPN.

Coach Gonzalo Quesada will make four modifications with respect to the initial formation that defeated Lions of South Africa last Saturday by 38 to 8. Rodrigo Bruni will replace Tomás Lezana as eighth, while Domingo Miotti will replace Joaquín Díaz Bonilla, who suffered a tear of the Oblique muscle in the iliac crest that will marginalize it for two weeks.

For his part, Captain Jerónimo De la Fuente, recovered from a nuisance, will return to the team replacing Juan Cruz Mallia, who before Lions suffered a shock and will only be able to return to the activity next week. Meanwhile, wing Sebastián Cancelliere will supply Bautista Delguy who suffers an overload in the left adductor.

For his part, the tucumano Matías Orlando was operated on Thursday due to instability in his right shoulder, so he must remain inactive for four to five months and the rest of the Super Rugby season will be lost.

Hurricanes will present two changes in its formation with respect to the team that lost in the debut against Stormers of South Africa by 28 to 0: coach John Plumtree confirmed that Jackson Garden-Bachop will replace Fletcher Smith as opening, while Asafo Aumua will occupy the position of hooker instead of Ricky Riccitelli.

This will be the fourth confrontation between Jaguares and Hurricanes. New Zealanders won 40-22 at home in 2016 and 34-9 in 2018 at Velez. For its part, the Argentine franchise achieved a historic victory last year by imposing 28 to 20 in Wellington.
