New photovoltaic system is being built - and maybe the eleventh roundabout

Maisach could get roundabout number 11. Could. Because nothing has been decided yet. But if the intersection at the Hirschvogel organic farm is rebuilt, the roundabout is the only option.

Maisach - The crossing of the former state road with the FFB 1 district road to Aufkirchen could, as reported, be redesigned to direct more traffic to the southern bypass and to relieve the center of Maisach. The best results would be achieved if the route of the FFB 1 from Aufkirchen in the direction of Bruck were to be given the right of way. But then the FFB 1 would have to be pivoted into the former state road at a flatter angle. To do this, a field would have to be built on - but an open-space photovoltaic system is planned there. The investor wants to use the area as far south as the train. He has already leased the area, wants to go into the detailed planning and if possible start building the modules this year.

Sealed less area

The municipal council therefore had to decide how much space should be kept free: much for a swiveled street or much less for a roundabout. The majority voted for the roundabout, even if it will direct less traffic to the bypass. This means that less space is sealed and there is more space for photovoltaics. The meeting revealed that the property owner and tenant would not have agreed to the swiveled road anyway.

A gyro with bypass is now planned. The bypass is supposed to lead from FFB 1 onto the road to Fürstenfeldbruck and mean that the right turn coming from Aufkirchen will have to wait even shorter.

For now, however, only the space for a roundabout with bypass will be kept free. The gyroscope is not a final project. One wants to wait and see how traffic flows through the southern bypass. Gottfried Obermair (FW) emphasized: "We free voters have wanted a roundabout there since 2002." But Christine Wunderl (Greens) countered: "Maybe we don't need it at all."

Also interesting: That was the report on roundabout number eight.
