Her spokeswoman Katja Kindermann (40) gave details of the accident: "The accident happened on January 21st at a riding stable in the Dresden area," said Kindermann. Koebel was out there with her own horse when another animal seemed to frighten it. The presenter caught the startled horse several times with his hooves and seriously injured the Dresden woman.

Koebel was immediately taken to the emergency room , where a coccyx fracture was initially suspected. "Fortunately, that has not been confirmed," explains Kindermann. "Anja Koebel has contracted several fractures around the spine. But she is already on the mend. She has already left the hospital and is currently recovering at home. ”
The presenter will not be seen again on TV anytime soon. She is currently on sick leave until at least the end of February and will then be represented by her moderation colleagues. Programs that she would have presented were divided among the MDR presenters.
