Some 200 producers from northern Buenos Aires and southern Santa Fe held an assembly this Saturday in San Nicolás, next to the Buenos Aires –Rosario Highway, after which they hardened their position against the national government due to fiscal pressure, particularly withholding taxes the beans
They asked “the National Executive Power to convene the Liaison Committee of agricultural entities within 7 days to respond to repeated claims about removing the export rights of legumes, wheat, corn, regional meat and dairy economies ”. They also requested to "roll back soybean export rights to the values of December 10, 2019" (in the order of 24.5% and not in the current 30%).

And they affirmed that “if there is no response within that period,” (until Saturday, February 15), they will request a cessation of grain and meat marketing from the Liaison Board ” .
This group had already carried out on January 7 a massive tractor in the avenues of Pergamino , another city of northern Buenos Aires- and on January 18, in that same city, it nourished people to the Carbap assembly that took place on the site of the Rural pergaminense, where 700 Buenos Aires and Pampas producers expressed the malaise of the countryside.
On this occasion, they had the participation of self-convened producers from towns in the north of the Province of Buenos Aires ( Parchment, Rojas, Junín, San Pedro, Baradero, Arrecifes, Vedia, Salto, San Antonio de Areco, Ramallo, Arrecifes, Rojas, Salto ) and South of Santa Fe ( AO12 and R34, Roldan, Routes 9 and 178, Armstrong, Carlos Pellegrini ). It was supported by rural entities in the area and companies related to the field.
The act of this Saturday was carried out in a context of unofficial versions of a new rise in withholdings to soybeans , whose grains that are exported would add 3% already approved by law in Congress, which export rights to the oilseed they would go to 33%. However, the Minister of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries of the Nation, Luis Basterra , said Friday, in the assumption of the president of INTA, Susana Mirassou, that the eventual changes "are still being studied and should be taken very carefully, so that they have the least possible impact on the profitability of the producers, because we don't want to lose any more producers . ”

The tightening of self-convened producers is based on the resolution deadlines. They appeal to January 31 set at the assembly of the 18th of that month in Parchment and claim for "no response from the Liaison Bureau and the National Executive . "
The latter makes it clear that these self-convened producers have maintained constant lines of dialogue with the four entities of the Liaison Bureau, but remain independent of criteria.
