Against the decline in the number of immigrants from France and the rise of anti-Semitism: A new campaign with Miriam Peretz and Rabbi Yehuda Ben-Yishai calls on French Jews to come to Israel. The goal is to bring about 30,000 Jews to Israel in the coming year in order to strengthen their connection with Israel and encourage them to immigrate to Israel.

Miriam Peretz and Rabbi Yehuda Ben Yishai, who have consumed their children and grandchildren in wars and acts of terror, call on the Jews of France: "Visit Israel and connect with your identity." Along with dozens of key figures among French immigrants, the two lead an extensive network campaign called Reconnec - Sion in Hebrew called: "You ask my selfish brother."

An appeal to 70,000 Jews

It should be noted that in France there are about half a million Jews, with 300,000 defined as "cut off from the roots" (in other words - not part of the community).

The campaign targets 70,000 immigrants from France (who have already immigrated to Israel) connected to social networks to provide details of acquaintances who live in France and are disconnected from their identities.

Dozens of volunteers will be contacted on a recruiting day to sign the February 16 campaign. Initiated the campaign Israeli Experience Company, the country's leading incoming tourism company specializing in educational programs to strengthen Jewish identity, Israeli publicity and the fight against anti-Semitism. The Israeli experience is a subsidiary of the Jewish Agency.

Miriam Peretz, bride of the Israel Prize for a life enterprise that educated two of her sons, excitedly addressed French immigrants: "Each of us has responsibility for the entire Jewish people. We ask that you give us only the name of an acquaintance in France and we will contact him. Who knows how many brothers we can fight."

Rabbi Yehuda Ben Yishai, who has been raising his grandchildren (members of the Vogel family) since the terrible attack on Itamar in 2011, said: "Unfortunately, many more of our acquaintances are left behind. Let's, together, connect them to their identity."

Amos Hermon, CEO of the Israeli Experience, concluded: "We see the rise of anti-Semitism in Europe as a whole and France in particular, and alongside it the detachment of many Jews from their identities. We hope this campaign will allow more Jews to know Israel through their feet and reconnect to their identity. "

Meanwhile, a recent anti-Semitism survey in France published by Israel Today, published by the Jewish-American Committee (AJC), gives a particularly sad picture of the plight of Jews in France: two-thirds of French Jews indicated that they felt significant anti-Semitism against them, and 70 Percent of Jews in France have experienced anti-Semitic attacks at least once in their lives.

The problem of France as a whole

The situation is even worse among young people - 84 percent of 18-24 year-olds said they were attacked for anti-Semitic background. It was also found that 43% of Jews in France refrain from visiting certain places, due to their safety. This contributes to the foreign feeling of Jews in France, and more than half of French Jews considered leaving France because of anti-Semitism.

However, when considering the attitude of the general public in France to the phenomenon, 73 percent of the French public view anti-Semitism as a problem of the entire public, and not just of the Jews.
