Australian Min Woo Lee (-19) was the strongest in front of his ISPS audience Handa Vic Open to sign the first victory of his career at 21 years old. The brother of the ninth world player Minjee Lee was never worried Sunday by taking a chip for birdie from the number one hole! With a second straight card of 68, he wins with two strokes ahead of the powerful New Zealander Ryan Fox. The son of the legendary All Blacks opening half Grant Fox, world champion 1987 by defeating France in the final, was dazzling with a last lap of 64 marked by two eagles (no one else did better than 67 Sunday in the Australian wind). But the good tricolor surprise is to be credited to Robin Sciot-Siegrist who signs his best career result with a third place (-14). The left-hander of Saint-Nom-la-Bretèche ended his week with three birdies on his last four holes to snatch the podium alongside the locals Marcus Fraser and Travis Smyth. The only French driver entered this week at the Antipodes, Sciot-Siegrist has entered the Top 40 of the Race to Dubai with this excellent result. A real boost for a player who has been in good shape since the end of last season (second in the Challenge Tour final) and who has finally obtained his playing rights among the elite via the cards.
He's done it !!
