There are editions in which the delivery of the Oscar seems to be nothing more than a procedure, in which it is similar to a formality to know the names of the winners in the main areas.
And tonight's, at first glance, is one of them.
1917 , by Sam Mendes, the story of an almost impossible mission to be carried out by two British soldiers in World War I, as the best film; Joaquin Phoenix as best leading actor, by Joker (the one with the highest number of candidates, 11); Renée Zellweger, best leading actress for playing Judy Garland in Judy ; Brad Pitt, best supporting actor for his double-risk role as Leonardo DiCaprio in Once Upon a Time ... in Hollywood ; Laura Dern, best supporting actress for the lawyer of the character of Scarlett Johansson in Story of a marriage , the film that will be quite forgotten at the awards.

And perhaps, the prize for the best director may be the most contested, since, as it happens lately, academics usually reward someone who did not make the best film as best filmmaker ... Among Sam Mendes, Bong Joon-ho ( Parasites ) and Quentin Tarantino ( Once upon a time ... in Hollywood ) would be the one to take the 3 kilogram figurine home.
There are other items that seem equally sung, such as best international film (until last year, film spoken in a foreign language), in which Parasites wins ... unless they do not give this award to the film about the class struggle, to reserve it as best film.
