Beijing announced today that the new Coruna virus has claimed 811 lives in China.
The news agency AFP quoted the National Health Commission of China as saying in its daily update of the death toll and injuries that the epidemic has infected 37,198 people to date in China, more than 2,600 new infections recorded during the past twenty-four hours.
She noted that the past 24 hours recorded the death of 89 people, the vast majority of them in Hubei, this central province, which the virus first appeared in its capital, Wuhan, in late December.
The Chinese health authorities announced in the outcome of yesterday the increase in the number of deaths from infection with the Corona virus to 722 and more than 34,500 infected.
