This is a serious matter which is in the process of being resolved by the Elancourt security investigators. Six men, aged 17 to 20, were arrested last week in Montigny-le-Bretonneux, suspected of having brutally struck, on the night of December 28 in the town, two other young people, aged twenty years. One of the two victims remained in a coma for two weeks and is in danger of having lifelong consequences.
It was 2 am that night, avenue Nicolas-About, when a local resident informed the police. Officials arrive and find two injured. Obviously alcoholic, they are unable to give explanations on what happened to them. One of them, hit with an iron bar on the head, is in very bad shape, the witnesses evoke a lynching scene. The two victims were allegedly beaten against the backdrop of rivalry between parts of the city.
One of the victims will have to learn to walk again
The investigators are making every effort to identify the attackers. They view the CCTV images, study the telephone boundary and interview the people in the sector. “The substance of this case is sadly simple. It is a conversation which has been poisoned between a group of young people of the district and the two victims, explains a source close to the file. At the start of the conversation, we were talking about cannabis before it turned into insults and then beatings. ”
One of the victims is recovering but the second experiences a ordeal. After spending a fortnight in a coma, waking up is difficult. This young man must now learn to walk again and the extent of his aftereffects remains unknown for the time being.
The six arrested suspects were taken into custody in Trappes. During their hearings, they did not admit the facts, but some accused the others. On arrival, five of them were brought to Versailles, they were charged with attempted murder.
