The US military revealed Monday that the number of casualties in the Iranian attack in January rose to 100, most of them casualties. According to the US military, the increase in casualties was not due to the attempt at rendering, but to the nature of the vulnerability - whose symptoms did not appear immediately upon the attack.

Most of the injuries recorded so far are brain injuries, whose symptoms take a while to appear, and sometimes soldiers report them late. It should be noted that the attack itself did not record fatalities or injuries, due to intelligence sent to the US military about the Iranian attack - which followed the assassination of Quds Brigadier in the Revolutionary Guards, Qasim Suleimani, earlier this year.

Iranian Army missile attack on US bases in Iraq

Recall, on January 8, Iran launched missiles at several Iraqi military bases where US troops were stationed. Initially, hundreds of American fatalities were reported in Iran, reportedly vigorously denied in the United States claiming that there were no casualties as a result of the attack.

However, after it was revealed that there were indeed American casualties in the incident, U.S. President Donald Trump referred to previous U.S. reports, explaining the change in that the injuries were relatively minor. "I heard that some of the soldiers had a headache and a few other things," Trump said of the casualties, in a statement that led to criticism from released U.S. organizations.
