Published for release: Police arrested a suspect, a 24-year-old young man from Jerusalem, in an attempted assassination attempt by the well-known offender Eli Arish, in the Ramot neighborhood of Jerusalem, on Tuesday, filed against a prosecutor's statement. It is suspected that the young man was trying to assassinate in the face of an ongoing conflict between them, as he witnessed one of Arish's most loyal soldiers a few years ago.

Police said an investigation into "power games," so far conducted under a bans, led police investigators to the identity of the suspect in the shooting and his arrest that night for questioning on suspicion of attempted murder.

By searching the police on the suspect's escape route, they were able to locate the gun used by the suspect as well as other forensic findings. As the investigation progressed, investigators suspected that the young man had followed the victim on the day of the murder attempt while changing his clothes several times, until the moment he shot Arish and fled.

Arish is one of the top offenders in Jerusalem, and is considered to be the head of the crime organization founded by Eli Na'im (magician) and who at the time competed with the crime organization of the Jerusalem gang led by the Malka brothers.

Arish repented a few years ago and lives in Ramot. It does not prevent him from continuing, according to police suspicion, to violate the law. A few months ago, he was arrested on suspicion of involvement in the Kadouri couple's murder and released from custody after the judge ruled that nothing was against him.
