On Thursday the following applies: The Road Construction Office presents possible routes for a Holzkirchner southern bypass. Nothing is decided in the municipal council.

Holzkirchen - “The southern clasp is being built.” With this headline in Holzkirchner Merkur, a new era for traffic in and around Holzkirchen seemed to begin in December 2009. South of Kurzenberg, at Leithner Gasteig, the bypass from the B 13 should run east along the forest towards B 318 and reach it between Warngau and Lochham. But things turned out differently.

Ultimately, this remote route failed in July 2013 due to nature conservation concerns. The crux of the matter was that there are “reasonable alternatives” for possible routes based on a room resistance map. The state building office in Rosenheim then dropped the planning because it would hardly have legally withstood a lawsuit. Alternatives have been sought for almost seven years. Tomorrow the southern clasp could start again.

Resistance as a decisive factor

As part of a municipal council meeting, which is taking place in the Oberbräu banquet hall due to the expected interest, the State Building Authority presents possible routes for the bypass, which has been discussed for decades. Around 20 proposals had been received in Rosenheim, which the Office has checked for feasibility. Also included: a route through the forest south of Hartpenning, a local bypass between Hartpenning and Holzkirchen and the "variant zero", so no new road.

Oberland Initiative: This is how it wants to prevent the southern bypass.

The basis for the assessment is said space resistance map. Different colors, scarlet to light yellow, make it clear how great the natural or man-made resistances are south of Holzkirchen. The darker the more worth protecting. Conversely, the darker the less likely it is that a road will be built here.

Hartpenninger don't want to be left behind

Based on this map, two sufficiently wide corridors for a local Holzkirchner Südspange between B 13 and B 318, which starts north of Großhartpenning and ends north or south of Lochham, seem conceivable. For Großhartpenning, a west bypass is theoretically possible according to the spatial resistance. Perhaps more routes will be presented here tomorrow.

Hot iron Südspange: Supporters hope for a request for advice .

Both the southern clasp and the bypasses of Großhartpenning and Kurzenberg are anchored in the federal traffic route plan - an important prerequisite for concrete route planning to start at all. It is important to the Hartpenningers that "their" bypass is not uncoupled. Because for the time being only the local Holzkirchner Südspange, in case of doubt this means even more through traffic for Großhartpenning.

No decision about possible route

The local council will not decide anything tomorrow Thursday. The State Building Authority only presents the routes and explains why some cannot be implemented. It will be up to the new municipal council to commit to a few routes. Then, everyone agrees, the citizens should be involved. In what form is still open. Planning only begins when a route is subsequently selected. It should therefore take at least until the end of the decade for the bypass to be realized.

The meeting of the local council begins tomorrow, Thursday at 6:30 p.m. in the Oberbräu-Saal and deals in the public part exclusively with possible routes for bypasses.
