Rapper Sadek assaulted a blogger: second stop

A second suspect was arrested Thursday after the beating of blogger Bassem Braïki by rapper Sadek on the night of Monday to Tuesday in the Lyon suburbs, we learned on Friday, February 14, from the Lyon prosecutor's office.

Sadek, arrested on Wednesday, and this man will be presented in the afternoon "before the investigating judge in the context of an opening of judicial information of the heads of voluntary violence aggravated by three circumstances and aggravated robbery , " added the parquet, questioned by AFP.

Ready to "pay"

On Tuesday morning, Sadek shared a photo of him with his bloodied hand on Twitter before posting a video on Instagram in which he confirms that he "gave in to violence, hatred like a fool" , while saying he was ready to " pay ” . On images filmed on the phone and posted online the previous night, we see the blogger from Vénissieux receiving violent punches, kicks and telescopic batons.

Bassem Braïki, who had wounds on the face and skull, was prescribed by doctors five days of temporary work interruption (ITT), according to the prosecution. The blogger made headlines after the Paris attacks in 2015, calling on Muslims to revolt against terrorism. Since then, he has multiplied controversial remarks to the address of his thousands of fans.

Besides rap, Sadek is also known for playing alongside Gérard Depardieu in the film "Tour de France" by Rachid Djaïdani, released in 2016.
