A number of heads of Arab labor unions participating in the 27th General Conference of the General Federation of Trade Unions affirmed that their presence in Syria today comes in support of its steadfastness in the face of the terrorist war imposed on it and the struggle of its workers in construction and reconstruction.
In statements to SANA, they stressed that Syrian workers are a role model for work, will and sacrifice, as the head of the General Federation of Iraqi Trade Unions, Star Danbous Barak, pointed out that Syria today differs from yesterday after the great victories achieved by the Syrian Arab army on the ground and the struggle of the working class in it to protect their factories and facilities and restore The Labor and Production Movement pointing out that the Iraqi and Syrian workers' unions are working under the umbrella of the Arab Workers Union to issue all the pro-Syrian statements in its war against terrorism and lift unfair economic sanctions on its people.
The head of the Lebanese Trade Union Confederation Hassan Fakih said that being in Syria and attending the conference is an affirmation of the unity of the Arab workers and their support for everything that is in the interest of Syria and Lebanon, indicating the steadfastness of the Syrian workers who paid big prices as a result of the global war that waged on their countries what required all the trade unions in the world to stand On their side and support.
In turn, the Secretary-General of the Palestinian Workers Union, Abdel Qader Abdullah stressed that the conference embodies the spirit of joint work between the people in Syria and its workers, army and leadership, and he said: “There must be presence in Syria and its participation in its activities to enhance its steadfastness in the face of imperialism and the terrorist war waged against it .. Syria has always embraced The Palestinian cause was its first supporter, and it is our duty to stand with it. ”
The deputy head of the Federation of Trade Unions in Egypt, Magdy El-Badawy, said that the large presence of trade unionists in Syria is achieving strength and solidarity for the Arab trade union organization because the world when seeing this scene despite the great suffering of Syrian workers as a result of the terrorist war on their country understands that the trade union organization in Syria is one of the strong pillars of the trade union organization Al-Arabi during the coming stage, stating that "solidarity between the Arab federations makes the word workers in international organizations and the trade union organization in Egypt supportive of the Syrian people and their workers in all their positions."
The editor-in-chief of the Arab Workers News Agency, Abdel-Wahab Khadr, also considered that those present in Syria today represent millions of workers in the world and have come to express the solidarity of millions with it in the face of terrorism, the embargo, and the American, Israeli and Turkish aggressive plans against it.
Many Arab and foreign delegations and trade unionists from different Arab countries came to support Syria and to participate in the session held by the conference in solidarity with the workers and people of occupied Palestine in the face of what are called " Deal of the Century ”With the steadfastness of the people of the occupied Syrian Golan, the 38th anniversary of the comprehensive national strike against the false annexation decision.
