The way is clear for the new children's home that the Montessori Association Inning is planning on Landsberger Straße. In its most recent meeting, the building committee unanimously created the legal requirements for the project to be implemented.

Inning - Planned is an elongated building east of the Silberfasan restaurant, where the beach volleyball court is. The house is to be built opposite the Montessori school.

The kindergarten has so far been provisionally housed in the basement of the elementary and middle school. "The school urgently needs the space," says Johanna Stegmaier, managing director of the Montessori association. With the new building, the kindergarten increases its capacity by more than double. 50 instead of the previous 22 places should be available in the new children's home. Stegmaier expects that the kindergarten will still be fully booked. "We have five registrations for each seat," she says. The Montessori concept works in the first sensitive phase up to the age of six. “Then the children come to school with exemplary social behavior and a certain attitude to work,” explains Stegmaier.

Two groups with 25 children each will be accommodated in the new building. In addition to the group rooms, rooms for management, therapies and meals as well as a multi-purpose room for group games are provided.

The school yard in Inning is also to be upgraded

In the course of the new building, the school yard will also be upgraded. In order to make room for the children's home, the area between the silver pheasant and the school has to be redesigned anyway. The school yard currently offers, among other things, a somewhat battered skater ramp, soccer goals and a volleyball court.

The area on Landsberger Strasse belongs to the municipality, which transfers the area to the Montessori Association under heritable building rights. Mayor Walter Bleimaier welcomes the project: "This is the ideal place for it - and the building takes advantage of the variety of educational institutions in Inning."

Construction is scheduled to start this year. Montessori managing director Stegmaier does not want to comment on the costs yet. "We are still waiting for the funding decision from the government of Upper Bavaria." The association itself carries a large financial share. According to Mayor Bleimaier, the municipality is contributing “several 100,000 euros”.
