Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi stressed that the wars launched by the United States in the Middle East region are not aimed at ensuring stability and security in this region, but only to protect American interests.
Wang said in an exclusive interview with Reuters in Berlin and published on the website of the Chinese Foreign Ministry that "the American approach does not help in maintaining stability and development in the Middle East, but on the contrary it works to plunge the region into turmoil and poverty."
Wang pointed to the many wars that the United States launched in the region during the past decades, the size of the damage and the problems resulting therefrom, and the corresponding measures and efforts made by China to contribute to maintaining security and stability in the Middle East in accordance with the United Nations resolutions and the desires of the countries of the region itself.
Regarding the hostile policies pursued by Washington towards Beijing, Wang explained that the United States is the one that poses a threat to China, and not vice versa, as the American side tries to promote, pointing out that the Chinese parliament, for example, has not adopted any law regarding American domestic policy or what concerns the United States while The latter has drawn up a whole set of laws that represent rude interference in China’s affairs.
The Chinese foreign minister included many examples of the provocations and repeated interventions by the United States against China, saying that “the Chinese fleet ships and Chinese military aircraft did not show their strength near the waters and airspace of the United States, while American ships and warplanes carry out such actions near the Chinese border continuously” He added that "China has not imposed any sanctions on American companies while the United States is doing its best to pressure Chinese companies."
Regarding the Corona virus or "Covid 19", Wang considered the sudden outbreak of this virus a challenge for China and the world in general, noting the decisive measures and great efforts made by Beijing in confronting and controlling the virus.
Wang noted that immediately after the spread of the virus, the Chinese government put in place an internal mechanism for transferring and transferring the necessary resources to counter the virus across China, and took maximum control and prevention measures, stressing that the epidemic was "under control."
