One person was killed and four others were wounded by a shooting in front of an event hall in the center of the German capital, Berlin.
The German magazine Der Spiegel quoted a spokesman for the fire department as saying that "unknown persons opened fire in front of an events hall in the Kreuzberg region, killing one person and wounding four others."
Immediately, German police cordoned off the scene and began to search the surrounding areas for the perpetrators.
