" The walkers are more determined than ever to carry a change project for Paris (...) You know, history is not written in advance, " added Stanislas Guerini to the press.
The candidate must check three boxes, said Marie-Laure Harel, one of the spokespersons for the LREM campaign for Paris on BFMTV: " Wanting to be mayor of Paris (...), being able to be operational , that is to say knowing Paris and being able to resume the campaign in a crisis situation (...) and succeed in achieving consensus ”. And to add: " The campaign was, is, complicated but nothing is lost ". Marie-Laure Haurel clarified that the discussions involved " partners, with the UDI, with the MoDem ".
Several potential candidates
Among the names cited to replace Benjamin Griveaux, are that of the Minister of Health Agnès Buzyn, the former Minister Mounir Mahjoubi who said he was " available ", or Delphine Bürkli, the outgoing mayor of the 9th arrondissement (ex- LR), close to Edouard Philippe.
Julien Bargeton also volunteered. The spokesperson of the LREM group in the Senate told journalists: " There will be the candidacy of Mounir Mahjoubi, probably that of (his counterpart in the Assembly, Editor's note) Sylvain Maillard, mine ". Marlène Schiappa said that she would not be a candidate.
